Holly-Anne Ruggiero

Holly-Anne Ruggiero (born November 16 [year missing]) is an American Theatre Director living in New York City and New Orleans. She has been the Artistic Director of Impulse Theatre in New York City since 2003.

Ruggiero is the Artistic Director of Impulse Theatre, Lead Producer of The Wine Tasting Musical, Artistic Director of Holly-Anne Ruggiero's College Concierge and the Creative Development Director for the Broadway Artists Alliance of New York City. Current projects include the National Tour and Norwegian Cruise Line production of Wine Lovers – The Wine Tasting Musical; Boyz Night (in development) and City Of Light (Writer/Director – in development).

Her production of Wine Lovers - The Wine Tasting Musical was presented at Fordham University - College At Lincoln Center as part of its FCLC 2013 Reunion.[1]


She moved to New York City in 2000 to attend Fordham University, Lincoln Center as a Performance and Directing major where she graduated with Honors. She is originally from Stow, Massachusetts.

She was the original Assistant Director to Des McAnuff on the smash-hit Broadway musical Jersey Boys, Billy Crystal's 700 Sundays and Frank Wildhorn's Dracula, The Musical. From 2011-2013 she was the Assistant Director to Tony Winner Andy Blankenbuehler on the National Tour and Broadway production of Bring It On: The Musical and to Warren Carlyle at City Center on Rodgers and Hart's On Your Toes and a reading of Spring Is Here, a new Rodgers and Hart musical.

Current projects

Current projects include Wine Lovers - The Wine Tasting Musical, for which she is the Lead Producer and Director. Wine Lovers is running nationally and on Norwegian Cruise Line; City of Light - The Musical (Book/Director, with Music by Beverly Ross, award winning composer of 'Lollipop' and 'Judy's Turn To Cry').

Ruggiero is the Book Writer & Director for Dani Tapper and Phil Benson’s Class Reunion, and Beverly Ross’s City Of Light. She has written dozens of cabaret and solo shows for Broadway artists and published musicians that have been performed all over the country and on International Cruise Lines.

Her company, Holly-Anne Ruggiero's College Concierge [4] has helped over 500 high school students gain acceptance to top Musical Theatre, Acting, Music and Fine Arts programs in the United States and internationally.

As an educator Ruggiero has worked with students of all ages at New York University, Pace University, Columbia University, Boston University, Hunter College, The Broadway Classroom; Broadway Seminar Series; Camp Broadway; TVI Studios NY/LA; The Actors Connection NY/LA; Performing Arts Institute of Orlando; Southern Rep Theatre and Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carre.[5]
