Excerpt: The consumption of nutrients in organic materials, mainly manure, also decreased due to a reduction in the number of animals. Nevertheless, as a consequence of an even larger fall in the consumption of mineral fertilizers, the share of nutrients in manure increased substantially to reach about 50 percent of the total amount of NPK consumed (Table 13).
